Kim Scardina MA, LCPC
Kim Scardina is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She graduated from Bradley University in 2010 with a Masters Degree in Human Development. She spent 7 years working with eating disorder patients in a hospital setting providing treatment primarily with adolescents, women and their families. In 2015 she presented at the national ANAD conference for eating disorders on the utilization of play therapy techniques. She has experience working in the inpatient hospital setting with children and adolescents providing individual and family therapy. Kim completed her training and certification in Child-Centered Play Therapy in September 2019 and has been certified as a Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional since June 2019. She is a member of the Illinois chapter of the Association for Play Therapy. Kim continues to pursue education in the areas of childhood trauma, play therapy and nature therapy.
She’s been a member of the Mended Hearts team since 2018 when she created the playroom we know and love today.
